ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE,GUAM-An F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet from the 18th Aggressor Squadron, Eielson Air Force Base Alaska, takes off during the Cope North 2012 exercise here, Feb. 13. This is a three-week exercise between the U.S. Air Force, the Japan Air Self Defense Force and the Royal Australian Air Force which began Feb. 11 bringing more than 1,000 service members to Guam. The exercise will run through Feb. 24 and is designed to enhance air operations and serve as a reminder of the three nations' commitment to preserving peace in the Pacific Region.
