A joint and combined team of U.S. and Lao People's Democratic Republic medics, engineers and administrators are scheduled to conduct medical care and education initiatives, April 23-28, at numerous locations in the Phonsavahn area -- including the Lao-Mongolian Friendship Hospital. The effort is part of Operation Pacific Angel 12-2, a joint and combined humanitarian assistance operation currently in its fifth year. In addition to medical care and education, civil engineer work and education projects are also scheduled for the Phonsavahn area. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Mike Hammond)
