A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III from the Pacific Air Forces Demonstration Team takes off to perform an aerial demonstration for an estimated 180,000 spectators at the Australian International Airshow, March 1, 2013 at Avalon Airport in Geelong, Australia. The PACAF C-17 demo team is part of the 535th Airlift Squadron and is based out of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Approximately 220 U.S. service members along with the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor, C-17 Globemaster III, F-16 Fighting Falcon, B-52 Stratofortress, and KC-135 Stratotanker are supporting the Australian International Airshow 2013, which allows a unique opportunity for the United States to showcase its aviation prowess and strengthen military-to-military ties with our Pacific allies and partners .(Department of Defense photo/U.S. Air Force Tech.
