U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Martin Grant (middle) passes a box of medical supplies to members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines at the airport in Dumaguete City, Philippines, March 1, 2013. An AFP C-130 delivered the medical supplies, making it the first time any host nation provided airlift assistance since Pacific Angel began in 2007. Grant is the NCO in charge of structures for the 36th Civil Engineer Squadron at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, and is from Modesto, Calif. Approximately 220 U.S. service members along with the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor, C-17 Globemaster III, F-16 Fighting Falcon, B-52 Stratofortress, and KC-135 Stratotanker are supporting the Australian International Airshow 2013, which allows a unique opportunity for the United States to showcase its aviation prowess and strengthen military-to-military ties with our Pacific allies and partners.
