General Hawk Carlisle, Pacific Air Forces commander, gives a tour of aircraft stationed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, to his Excellency Itsunori Onodera, Minister of Defense of Japan, during the minister's visit to the base July 2. In addition to the tour, Minister Onodera received a PACAF command briefing and visited an F-22 Raptor fifth-generation fighter. The visit reaffirmed the longstanding commitment and cooperation between Japan and the United States, and the importance of the alliance to peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
