Hawk Carlisle, Pacific Air Forces commander, explains the capabilities of the KC-135 Stratotanker to Minister Itsunori Onodera, Minister of Defense of Japan, and a contingent of officials from the Japanese Ministry of Defense July 2 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The KC-135, is a critical component in providing global reach and power projection capabilities to PACAF forces in support of U.S. Pacific Command. PACAF has a long-standing history and commitment to partnering with allies throughout the region, and the US-Japan alliance continues to be the cornerstone of peace and stability in the Pacific.
