While exercising at the Risner gym on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Santos, without hesitation, went to the aid of a Patrol Squadron 4-5 sailor who was suffering an apparent heart attack on April 5, 2013. By his rapid response, expertly administered first aid and sound judgment, Santos, along with U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt.
