Kadena Airmen awarded AF, Navy, Marine Corps medals

U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Salvatore Angelella, U.S. Forces Japan and 5th Air Force commander, awards U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Kent Santos, 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron air medical evacuation technician, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal at the Officer’s Club on Kadena Air Base, Japan, July 10, 2013. While exercising at the Risner gym on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Santos, without hesitation, went to the aid of a Patrol Squadron 4-5 sailor who was suffering an apparent heart attack on April 5, 2013. By his rapid response, expertly administered first aid and sound judgment, Santos, along with U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jesus Sanchez, 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron air medical evacuation technician, undoubtedly saved the sailor’s life. (U.S. Air Force photo by Naoto Anazawa/Released)
