AFE technicians, deployed from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble aircrew flight equipment as part of a 75 item checklist. The work of the AFE shop ensures the safety of the B-2 pilots and allows the bomber crews to maintain a high state of readiness and proficiency in demonstrating their ability to provide an always-ready global strike capability.
