Vought AFN Hawaii News Bureau HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii -- President George Bush, First Lady Laura Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, the night of November 20 after completing the last leg of the president's Pacific Economic Tour. The President's visit to Hawaii caps off eight days of travel in the Pacific Theater which consisted of meetings with leaders in Russia, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia. Admiral William Fallon, Commander of the Pacific Command, and Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle as well as numerous other state and military leaders were on hand to greet the new arrivals.After their traditional Hawaiian Lei greeting, the president and Mrs. Bush presented 84-year-old Eloise Monserrate an award for 10-thousand volunteer hours with the American Red Cross. President Bush then dined with the governor and military officials on Pearl Harbor. He is scheduled to have breakfast with a group of Hawaii-based servicemembers November 21 and then meet with PACOM leaders on Camp Smith before departing for the U.S. mainland.
