Welding Certification
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Senior Airman Daronn Rawlins, 354 Maintenance Squadron, Aircraft Metal Technology Section, uses a Tungsten Inherit Gas welder and a Filler Rod too fuse two Aluminum tubes together on Dec. 19. He has been training for about a month now for his welding certification level two. Some of the requirements he must accomplish are to weld Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Nickel, and Cobalt tubes together. Once he obtains certification for level two welding he can now weld Aircraft parts and Missile parts.
