U.S. Army Alaska Soldiers will participate in a combined exercise with more than 1,400 military members from the United States, Singapore and Australia today through June 15.

Typically, previous Red Flag exercises catered only to the multi-national air forces community. However, as Alaska Army units are increasingly involved with contingency operations around the world, the Red Flag-Alaska 07-2 exercise this year will provide a great first opportunity for Army aviation and ground units to train with other services and nations in this annual series of exercises.

Over 160 Ft. Wainwright-based Soldiers will participate in the exercise. At least four to five Army aircraft will be used per day for training in a wide variety of scenarios and simulations.

Questions concerning this military exercise should be referred to Capt. Richard Hyde at 384-6328.
