Icemen give more than $101k to CFC Published Nov. 6, 2007 By 2nd Lt. Stephanie Baskett 354th Mission Support Group executive officer EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Eielson reached a goal of 100 percent contact and $101,408 in contributions when the Combined Federal Campaign drive ended Oct. 27. The key to this year's drive, which began Sept. 17, was the hard work of the workers. Each one contributed greatly to this year's campaign by staying active in contacting wing personnel throughout the entire drive. There are over 1,800 organizations to donate through to the CFC, 51 of which are local Alaska organizations. CFC provides an opportunity for federal employees to give back to the community through one unified campaign. Through this one unified campaign charitable agencies receive the support and assistance they need to help countless people. CFC also provides team members the flexibility to give to a charity of their choice, as a symbol of concern for their own needs and those of friends, neighbors, and other coworkers. People interested in helping with next year's CFC at the unit or wing level should contact their unit commander as the wing and unit representative positions will be determined from interested volunteers.
