ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- 1st Lt. Albert Esposito switches on the B-52 Offensive Avionics System during pre-flight checks before taking off on a local training mission. Lt. Esposito is one of 11 highly-trained B-52 Stratofortress jet navigators deployed with the 96th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron here. He navigates using the AOS, a computer controlled, highly automatic, electronics system, providing nearly automatic navigation and weapon delivery. The long-range, strategic bombers are part of the continuous rotating bomber presence here. The rotating bomber units promote security and stability in the region as well as provide unique aircrew training opportunities. The 96th EBS is deployed here from Barksdale Air Force Base, La.
