Staff Sgt. Chris Stuckey loosens a bolt in preparation to load an air-to-ground missile 65 Maverick on an F-16 Fighting Falcon during the Distant Frontier exercise May 8 at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. This exercise provides 35th Aircraft Maintenance Unit weapons load crews practice loading a variety of live munitions. Pilots will use the Joint Pacific Alaskan Range Complex by dropping their entire years’ supply in a matter of two weeks.
