HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii – Major Christopher Buckley, 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing director of staff (left of center, Airman Battle Uniform), and Lt. Col. Fred Taylor, Pacific Air Forces international affairs Korea country director (right of center, Air Force blue uniform) meet with thirty-three ROKAF airmen who visited the 515th AMOW July 28. Led by Col. Soo Cheol Park, Chief of Protocol Branch, Republic of Korea Air Force Headquarters, they toured the wing to see its mission and capabilities and continue building the good relations the Republic of Korea Air Force has shared with the U.S. Air Force for decades. They stopped in Hawaii en route back to Korea after winning the Best International Team award at the Air Mobility Rodeo 2009 at McChord Air Force Base, Wash., July 19-24. The 515th AMOW controls, loads, unloads, and repairs Pacific en route mobility aircraft, whether military, commercial or foreign, to keep the mission moving with precise, reliable velocity.
