COMPACAF hosts Pacific Air Chiefs

Gen. Gary North, Pacific Air Forces commander, hosted seven Pacific Air Chiefs for a conference, as part of the regional engagement mission of PACAF.

The Air Chiefs are the senior military leadership for their countries, equivalent of the Air Force Chief of Staff.

The representatives were: Lt. Gen. Soeung Samnang, Commander of the Royal Cambodian Air Force, Lt. Gen. Oscar Rabena, Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, Maj. Gen. Ng Chee Khern, Chief of the Air Force for the Republic of Singapore Air Force, Col. Tojoon Dashdeleg, Commander of Mongolia Air Defense Force, Col. Jofri Bin Haji Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force, Air Marshall Mark Binskin, Chief of Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force and Air Vice-Marshall Graham Lintott, Chief of Air Force, Royal New Zealand Air Force.

After arriving, General North escorted the group on a tour of the Navy Museum at Pearl Harbor. The group also visited the Arizona Memorial and laid a ceremonial wreath at the site.

The group also visited the PACAF Headquarters Building, where they were greeted by an honor guard cordon. After pausing for a group photo, they moved on to a command briefing and a tour of the 613th Air Operations Center.

The visit was concluded with a round of golf and a performance by the U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific-Hawaii.
