Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley visited Wolf Pack members working on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, as part of a six-base tour throughout Pacific Air Forces.

The visit allowed Secretary Donley to see how Kunsan has changed since his last visit 18 years ago and it gave him a chance to spend some time with Kunsan Airmen.

"I appreciate the opportunity to stop by and reconnect with PACAF, especially here at Kunsan," said Secretary Donley. "You all are the pointy end of the spear on the peninsula. This mission is critical not just for your Air Force but for the joint team as well."

During his trip, Secretary Donley visited Airmen performing the mission on Christmas Eve, meeting Wolf Pack members at the fire department, clinic, command post and other sections.

"I appreciate your vigilance and your attention to the mission," said Secretary Donley. "It remains vitally important for our military here and in the Pacific."

Afterward Secretary Donley sat down with Wolf Pack Airmen for lunch and then extended a special Holiday greeting.

"This time of year, I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for your service and for making the choice to be part of our Air Force family," said Secretary Donley. "When you are at a remote location like this it reminds you how blessed we are as Americans, how blessed we are to serve our great nation and how closely we come together as a community. It is a great Air Force family.

"Your leadership back in Washington appreciates what you do and the American people appreciate what you do. We just want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Before departing Kunsan, Secretary Donley left the Wolf Pack with one more message.

"Thanks for all you do," said Secretary Donley. "I hope you all have a great holiday, a safe holiday and a very successful new year. It's going to be a great 2010 for the United States Air Force."
