A Hickam Air Force Base NCO stationed here recently graduated from the Singapore Armed Forces Warrant Officer School's Advanced Leadership Programme at Pasir Laba Camp, Republic of Singapore, Jan. 29.

Master Sgt. Nathan Prince, the airborne operations superintendent from the 692nd Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group, was the first Hickam-based Airman to attend the three week program.

"This was the ultimate 'reblue'ing' experience," said Sergeant Prince. "I got to share a lot about the U.S. Air Force, and continue to foster the existing relationship we have with the Singapore Armed Forces."

The curriculum focused on leadership and management, communication, the profession of arms, law of armed conflict, and group presentations on various topics. Additionally, the students discussed regional issues affecting the Singapore Armed Forces and national service in the Singapore Armed Forces.

"I gained a good deal of strategic vision into Singapore and the Pacific region,"  Sergeant Prince said. "Learning about Singapore first-hand made it that much easier to understand the roles, culture and relationships in this region of the world."

Sergeant Prince's leadership, teambuilding skills and academic excellence made him the perfect choice as Pacific Air Forces ambassador in this program, said Col. Aldon Purdham, commander of the 692d ISRG.

"It was a great opportunity for him to learn about one of our allied forces, but also good for him to educate his counterparts about the U.S. Air Force. I am confident his experiences there will pay great dividends in bolstering the relationship between our armed forces," Colonel Purdham said.

Sergeant Prince applied for the course after a call for nominations went out by Chief Master Sgt. Dave Williamson, 13th Air Force command chief. He submitted copies of his last three enlisted performance reports, a biography, single-page SURF and physical fitness scores. He competed among nine other nomination packages across Pacific Air Forces and 13th Air Force and was notified of his selection for the school in December.

"Not only is it a great professional development opportunity," said Chief Williamson. "But it plays a large role in establishing an enduring relationship and building partner capacity [with Singapore]."
