Kadena SFS trains in high risk response Published Aug. 3, 2010 By 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Airmen from the 18th Security Forces Squadron recently participated in High Risk Response Training. The course gives Airmen classroom and hands-on training similar to Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) training. Kadena broadcaster Tech. Sgt. Renee Crisostomo and photojournalists Staff Sgts. Jason Lake and Alesia Goosic tell the story of this new train-the-trainer course. The course, provided by Analytical Services Inc., contracted through Pacific Air Forces, taught security forces Airmen the fundamentals of individual and team movements, building entry, room clearing and other tasks geared toward responding to an active shooter incident. This will allow these SFS Airmen to then train other Kadena Airmen. Check out the SLIDESHOW.
