Okinawa in TCCOR-2

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- The 18th Wing Commander today placed the island of Okinawa in Typhoon Condition-2.

This means destructive winds of 50 knots or greater (about 58 mph) may occur within 24 hours. The current track of the approaching tropical storm has it going nearest Okinawa Tuesday.
