Marines join Airmen for first time in Kadena's professional development seminar

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan --  A class of 40 servicemembers attended the Airman Professional Development Seminar at Kadena Air Base Nov. 15-16.

The seminar consisted of briefings about customs and courtesies, leadership, mentorship and other areas geared toward the professional development of future non-commissioned officers. The class is open to all services and is offered six times a year.

Although the seminar is typically made up of primarily Airmen, this class included two members of the Japan Air Self Defense Force and three Marines. This was the first time Marines attended the seminar and the three Marines in attendance were selected from 1,000 of their peers.
