U.S. Air Force participates in Australia's Avalon Airshow

At the invitation of the Government of Australia, the United States military will be represented at the Australian International Airshow 2011 held at Avalon Airport, Victoria, Australia, from March 1 through 6.

A cross-section of U.S. military aircraft and equipment are scheduled to be on static display and performing aerial demonstrations including the F-22 Raptor, the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the B-1B Lancer, the KC-135 Stratotanker, the C-17 Globemaster III, the C-130J Hercules, and the MH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter.

Through participating in air shows and other regional events, the United States demonstrates its commitment to the security of the Asia-Pacific region, promotes the standardization and interoperability of equipment, and displays capabilities critical to the success of current and future military operations.
