'Young Tigers' fuel 'Fighting Samurai' training deployment to Kunsan

OVER THE SEA OF JAPAN --  Airmen from Kadena helped their comrades to the North by providing necessary aerial refueling capabilities to the 'Fighting Samurai' of Misawa Air Base's 14th Fighter Squadron March 27.

Crews from the 909th Air Refueling Squadron 'Young Tigers' took off from Kadena early Sunday morning to make the over 1,000 mile trip north to provide the global reach for F-16s from Misawa to move to begin their routine operational training deployment to Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea.

While the Airmen of the 14 FS will spend the next few weeks at Kunsan, the rest of the Airmen at Misawa continue to directly support the relief effort which started following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, which rocked Japan's northeast.
