Emergency responders at Osan  Air Base, Korea, practiced a newly drafted humanitarian evacuation plan during an Emergency Management Exercise May 23. The scenario was fairly familiar:  Japan supposedly experienced a devastating earthquake that made it necessary for Americans stationed there to evacuate the region. Children from Osan Middle School participated in the exercise by simulating passengers on a plane full of evacuees. The children were provided with bags of simulated "vomit" and had symptom cards placed around their neck to add complexity and realism to the experience.
