Reason for nomination: "Recently, one of our fellow Airmen endured an extreme family emergency. Master Sgt. Nilsa Lisette Reiff, was contacted to provide counseling and comfort. She responded quickly, providing companionship and support as well as contacting leadership to apprise them of the situation.

During the next 48 hours, she never left the member's side working with various organizations to return the member home as quickly as possible. After she learned the staff member was nearing her DEROS she volunteered to finish the out-processing that could not be accomplished prior to the member's departure.

Living the core value of "service before self", she delivered chemical gear, supervised the movers, and even cleaned the Airman's room. She never hesitated in her duty as a wingman, remaining by her fellow Wolf Pack member to the end as she, escorted her around the wing, packed her bags and walked her to the plane.

She handled a delicate situation with grace and commitment. Making Reiff's actions more noteworthy, the Airman she was assisting worked outside her squadron. This prime example demonstrates how members of the Kunsan Wolf Pack Family assist one another, regardless of organizational boundaries.

Later, when speaking with her supervisor and commander, Reiff apologized for her missed work and promised to make up the lost time over the weekend!

Reiff's actions epitomize what it means to be a wingman; putting the well being of others before oneself. Her "people first" attitude has set an exceptional example for the Wolf Pack and the Air Force." -- Master Sgt. Greg Maggard, 8th Communications Squadron
