Kunsan cleans up after record-breaking rains

KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- During a 24-hour period Aug. 12 to 13, Kunsan Air Base received an estimated record-breaking 11.28 inches of rain.

The heavy rains caused much damage around the base, including numerous facilities being flooded. Many units, including the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron, were up before sunrise to begin repairing the damage.
