KUNSAN AIR BASE Republic of Korea -- The 8th Fighter Wing hosted Max Thunder 12-2 on Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. Max Thunder is a combined exercise with the ROK Air Force and features numerous aircraft including F-16 Fighting Falcons and F-15K Slam Eagles. The exercise is a chance for U.S. and ROK air forces to work side by side and to test the combat capabilities of the participating units, which included aircraft and crew from Hill Air Force Base, Utah, in various wartime and combat scenarios.
