On Military Spouse Appreciation Day, I want take this opportunity to celebrate and honor your unyielding contributions to our Command.  We simply could not execute our missions, maintain our required vigilance, or ensure the security of our national interests without you.  Each of you are a vital member of our team, and represent an extraordinary group of individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a common bond – love and life with a military member.

COVID-19 has added new challenges to the already demanding landscape of being a military spouse; a title that few have the fortitude to shoulder.  Many of you, on top of balancing your own career, have now been called to become home school teachers, program facilitators, and entertainers, maintaining the social networks that make our communities thrive all while remaining “socially distanced.”  This is nothing short of amazing, and speaks volumes to the resolve commonly found within the military spouse network.

I am unable to predict with certainty what the future holds.  However, I am confident that our military spouses will be instrumental in shaping the future to make our families stronger to handle whatever comes our way.  I am grateful for each and every one of you.  I am grateful for every sacrifice you have endured for our nation in support of your Airman.  I am grateful for every contribution you have made, are currently making, and will make in the future.  Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day!
