JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii -- U.S. Air Force Gen. Terrence J. O'Shaughnessy, Pacific Air Forces commander, departed PACAF May 20, to take command in his new role as North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) commander. During his recent visit to bases throughout the Indo-Pacific region, he highlighted the accomplishments of PACAF Airmen and thanked them for their hard work and dedication to the mission.
“I'd like to start with a sincere thank you for your incredibly hard work over these past two years,” said O’Shaughnessy. “I am humbled by all you've accomplished to ensure the security and stability of the lndo-Pacific region. I know we've asked a lot from you to achieve this goal, and as we surged forward, what we've accomplished is nothing short of amazing.”
