U.S., Indonesia Air Forces increase interoperability at Cope West 2018

U.S. Air Force and Indonesian air force Airmen host and open house for the community during exercise Cope West 18 (CW18) at Sam Ratulangi International Airport, Indonesia, March 17, 2018. On display to the public was an U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon aircraft assigned to the 13th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, 35th Fighter Wing based out of Misawa Air Base, Japan. The Indonesian air force also displayed their F-16C, a H-225M Cougar helicopter and a CN-295 military transport aircraft. CW18 is a Pacific Air Forces-sponsored, bilateral exercise involving the U.S. and Indonesian air forces and is designed to advance interoperability and build upon already established partnerships between the air forces.
