Filling 5,000 sandbags

The monsoon season typically begins in late June and runs for about a month. Nearly 50 percent of the area's annual precipitation will fall during this period.
On June 29, units from the 8th Fighter Wing pitched in to help the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron fill 5,000 sandbags. The sandbags are strategically placed around Kunsan Air Base and will be used if mission-critical assets need to be protected from the heavy rainfall.
