F-117s arrive at Kunsan AB

KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea Jan. 11, 2007 -- An F-117 taxis down the runway after landing here. A squadron of F-117s, together with more than 300 Airmen, are deploying here as part of an air expeditionary force, or AEF rotation from Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., in support of a continuing force posture adjustment throughout the Pacific. The aircraft, assigned to the 9th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, is part of the third squadron of Kunsan's host unit, the 8th Fighter Wing, during the deployment's duration. The AEF deployment, according to Kunsan officials, "demostrates the continued U.S. commitment to fulfill its security responsibilities throughout the Western Pacific."
