YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- A C-130 Hercules performs a demonstration of a combat offload Aug. 21, 2011, during the Japanese-American Friendship Festival at Yokota Air Base, Japan. In a combat offload, the pilot of the C-130 boosts the throttle to full while the brakes are applied, and then releases the brakes using inertia to push cargo out the open back door of the aircraft.
