Tripler doctors renew Indonesian lives

PEKANBARU, Indonesia – A surgeon from the Tripler Army Medical Center, from Honolulu, Hawaii, operates on a 47 year old local Indonesian during operation PACIFIC ANGEL 11-3 here, June 15, 2011. PACANGEL is a series of joint/combined humanitarian civic outreach efforts training conducted in the Pacific. This humanitarian and civic outreach training program is aimed at improving military-civic cooperation between the United States and Indonesia. The operation consists of several civil military assistance programs to include medical civic assistance programs (MEDCAP/DENCAP) with focuses on general health care, dental, optometry, women’s health, and pediatrics. Japanese high school students tour JBPH-H
