Expedient Small Asset Protection Shelter System advances ACE in the Pacific region

U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Paul Birch, 36th Wing commander, cuts a ribbon during the Expedient Small Asset Protection Shelter system ribbon cutting ceremony on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 24, 2023. The ESAP is a rapidly-constructed, deployable steel shelter designed to protect aircraft and equipment in both built-up and austere environments. Compared to traditional construction projects, the ESAP shelter’s pre-engineered design allows it to be assembled with reduced manpower and equipment.
