New PACAF Watch Center enables eyes in the sky

Gen. Ken Wilsbach, Pacific Air Forces commander, smiles during a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the re-opening of the Pacific Air Forces Watch Center on Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, Jan. 19, 2023. The ceremony was the capstone to four years of coordination for funding, resources, contracting, and construction during the renovation process. The Battle Staff within the renovated PAFWC will ensure capabilities by executing mission essential functions that generate forces, enabling the deployment of forces, supporting the opening and bedding down of bases, facilitating branch and sequel planning, and enabling coordination and planning for force protection, sustainment, and redeployment.
