Raptors arrive at RAAF Base Tindal for Enhanced Air Cooperation Initiative

A U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor assigned to the 90th Fighter Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, takes off from Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Tindal, Feb. 14, 2017. Twelve F-22 Raptors and approximately 200 Airmen are at RAAF Base Tindal as part of the Enhanced Air Cooperation (EAC) Initiative under the Force Posture Agreement between the U.S. and Australia. EAC creates the foundation for an enhanced rotational presence of U.S. military personnel in Australia to promote interoperability, build upon our already strong alliance, and reaffirm our commitment to the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
