JBPH-H dedicates tower to Dec. 7 attack veteran Lt. General Blake

U.S. Air Force retired Colonel Robert Blake, son of Lt. Gen. Gordon A. Blake, and Lt. Col. Marc Greene, 15th Operations Support Squadron commander, unveil a memorial plaque during the tower dedication ceremony in honor of Lt. Gen. Blake, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Dec. 5, 2016. During the attack on Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941, then Major Blake, was the base operations officer at Hickam Field and earned the Silver Star for his actions during the attack. Dec. 7, 2016 marks the 75th anniversary of the attacks and the U.S. military and State of Hawaii are hosting a series of remembrance events to honor the Pacific Theater's veterans.
