Big changes are coming to Osan Air Base’s Newcomers program this October.

To reduce the amount of time incoming Airmen spend away from their respective jobs, all newcomers briefings will be consolidated into one orientation to be held at the Enlisted Club. Additionally, the orientation will include an introduction to Osan from the 51st Fighter Wing and 51st Force Support Squadron leadership. Finally, the orientation will conclude with an information fair.

The information fair will consist of 31 base agencies. The agencies will expound on all the services available for incoming Airmen in conjunction with their respective information such as office locations, phone numbers and emails. This information will also be available online for ease of access.

The Airman and Family Readiness Center will accommodate the upcoming changes. Once updated, the webpage will include a separate section specifically for the Newcomers program, which will detail all of the POCs’ briefed information, phones and emails as well as frequently asked questions.

The Newcomers orientation briefing will be held on the third and fourth Wednesday of every month, starting on October 20. Once the website is updated, the Newcomers orientation information may be accessed at https://51fss.com/afrc/.
