CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT STEVE K. MCDONALD

Chief Master Sergeant Steve K. McDonald is the Command Chief
Master Sergeant, Thirteenth Air Force, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-
Hickam, Hawaii. In this capacity, he is the principle senior enlisted
advisor to the commander on matters influencing the morale, welfare, training, mission readiness and effective utilization of the command's 6,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and civilian personnel assigned to two wings, three groups, five geographically separated operating locations and the 613th Air and Space Operations Center. Chief McDonald is also the Pacific Air Forces lead for enlisted engagement, directing, developing and sustaining enlisted engagement activities with 39 nations within the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility. Thirteenth Air Force is responsible for the command, control and execution of air, space and information operations across the full range of military operations in the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility,
excluding Korea.

Chief McDonald entered the Air Force in February 1986. His
background includes various duties in communications, computer
programming and operations at the squadron, group, and command level as well as the joint environment. His previous assignments include bases in New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, Fla., North Dakota, and Calif. The chief also served overseas in Guam and Germany and deployed in support of Operations Enduring FreedomĀ and Iraqi Freedom. Prior to assuming his current position, Chief McDonald served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 451st Air Expeditionary Wing, Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.
